Faculty Exhibition Opens at the UA Museum of Art

The public is welcome to meet exhibition artists and scholars at an opening reception Oct. 1.
University of Arizona faculty art will be on display during an exhibition that will open on campus this week.
The UA Museum of Art is hosting an opening reception for the fall School of Art Faculty Exhibition on Oct. 1 from 5 to 6:30. The event is free and open to the public.
The bi-annual exhibition, which runs through Nov. 8, is a showcase that offers students and community members an opportunity to discover the explorations, research and constructs of artists and scholars who shape, strengthen and sustain the art school's programs.
This year's exhibition will feature work paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, inter-media pieces, fiber and ceramics, as well as research by art history and also art and visual culture education faculty members.
Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The museum is closed Mondays and University holidays.
The UA Museum of Art is on the northwest corner of the UA campus near Park and Speedway. The museum is accredited by the American Association of Museums, an honor bestowed on less than five percent of the museums in the United States.
