
One of Israel’s most celebrated novelists, Meir Shalev’s books have been translated into over 20 languages. His books include "Fontanelle," "Alone In the Desert," "But A Few Days" and "Esau." His latest work, "A Pigeon and a Boy," won the Brenner Prize – the most prestigious of Israel’s literary recognitions. He has written eight children’s books, as well as three collections of essays. Shalev also is a columnist with the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot. He lives in Jerusalem and in the north of Israel with his wife and children, where he is a motorcycle and jeep enthusiast.
