"Lawsuits consume time, and money, and rest, and friends." George Herbert, 1593-1633, English clergyman and poet.
Rules and laws are part of a supervisor's experience. They don't disappear by wishing and they don't have to keep organizations from realizing their goals. Sometimes rules are just guideposts that inform our community about cultural agreements. Sometimes they feel like a pain in the neck. Whatever the experience, a sound working knowledge and application of employment-related rules and laws is essential to successful management and supervision. Participants will have "hands-on" practice in applying the rules to realistic workplace problems.
