Mars Discovery Day at UA Museum of Art

The University of Arizona Museum of Art invites you to join us for a day of discovery that’s all about Mars.

This family event features the latest on the Phoenix Mars Lander findings, a book reading and signing by children’s author Chris Gall, and other exciting activities.

1 p.m. – Chris Gall author of "There’s Nothing To Do On Mars" will read from his book, followed by a book signing.

2 p.m. – Pat Woida, UA senior staff engineer, Phoenix Mars Lander mission’s surface operations and payload interoperability testbed engineer, will report on the early findings of the Phoenix Mars Lander mission.

There will be hands-on art and science activities throughout the afternoon, including robotic arm painting with guests from the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory. You can tour Robert McCall’s exhibit with our gallery guide and pick up a prize.
