The Union Gallery will be showcasing "This War Between Us," a collection of work by Elizabeth Mellott. A photographer and professor based in Plano, Texas, Mellott creates intimate, sculptural environments in which complex emotions experienced in military relationships are revealed.
The artist writes: "'This War Between Us' turns to an expansive consideration of the ordeal of military families and their stories of pain, stress, and faithful dedication. The consequences of this war are deeply present to me every day.
The exhibit will be open to the public Jan. 17 through Feb. 15 at the Union Gallery, located on the third floor of the Student Union Memorial Center.
An artist talk will be held Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. The closing reception will be held Feb. 15, 5 to 7 p.m. To learn more, call 520-621-6142.
