Pottery Sale to Benefit Anthropology Students

Noted archaeologist, author and artist Michael Brian Schiffer will again hold a sale of his ceramic works. Proceeds from Schiffer's sales benefit anthropology students at The University of Arizona.

Schiffer is the Fred A. Riecker Distinguished Professor of Anthropology, the oldest and most prestigious endowed chair in the UA College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. He also is a potter, a hobby he acquired as a college student, and has studied with some of America's best ceramists. He makes a variety of functional forms in stoneware and porcelain.

All proceeds from the sale benefit the Louie and Frances-Fera Schiffer Scholarship Fund in the department of anthropology.
